Jimmy Don Herring: Tabor City

1954 – 2018

     Jimmy Don Herring, son of William and Carolyn Herring, Tabor City, passed away Jan. 26, in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada.

     Jim was born in Greenville, South Carolina, the second of six children. As a military family, the Herrings were stationed in South Carolina, Florida, Michigan and California. The love of travel stayed with Jim throughout his life, and his work took him to Europe and Russia, before he retired in Nova Scotia.

     Jim is survived by his parents; his wife, Leigh Ann Hyndman, children Brandie Herring, William (Katie) Herring-Parker, Jimmy (Michèlle) Herring Jr, and Alexandra Herring; stepchildren Jaime (Romel) de Castro and Alec (Ruby) Hyndman; brothers Barry (Angela) Herring and Reggie (Lisa) Herring; sisters Deborah (Robert) Kirk, Robin Herring, and Laura (Ethan) Waldron.

     Jim will especially miss his grandchildren, Dante Herring, Hailey Wolters, William Hyndman, and Fiona Hyndman. He loved them dearly.

     Jim and Leigh Ann met many angels during the past few months, and are grateful for their care and support. Special thanks to Jude, Lisa and Dave.

     Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City.

     Visitation was planned for the hour prior to the service in the chapel.
