David Lee Richardson Jr.: Shallotte

1968 – 2018

     David Lee Richardson Jr. of Shallotte passed away on Thursday, Feb. 15, at the home. He was 49.

     Mr. Richardson died surrounded by family and friends following a short but courageous battle against an aggressive recurrence of cancer.

     Mr. Richardson was born in Chapel Hill on May 12, 1968. He spent most of his youth in Lumberton, and most recently resided in Shallotte.

     He is survived by his mother, Patsy McKeithan Weber of Leland; sisters Audren Richardson Ford of Leland and Neilee Weber, of Wilmington; stepmother Sylvia Richardson of Lumberton; stepbrother Christopher Brisson of Dublin; and his loving nieces and nephews.

     He was predeceased by his father, Dr. David Lee Richardson Sr. of Lumberton; and stepfather Neil David Weber, Esq., of Leland.

     A memorial service to celebrate his life was planned for 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, at at Haw Bluff Baptist Church, 1433 Haw Bluff Road, Ivanhoe.

     In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Mr. Richardson’s name to Pender EMS and Fire, 805 Ridgewood Ave., Burgaw, NC 28425.
