Barbara Ann Mills Grainger: Tabor City

1939 – 2018

     Barbara Ann Mills Grainger of Tabor City died Friday, Feb. 23, in her home. She was 78.

     Born in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late David Paul Mills and Doris Lee Stephens Mills.

     In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother Larry Mills.

     She is survived by her husband, Alonzo Grainger of Tabor City; a son, Kenneth Alonzo Grainger of the home; two daughters, Sandra Grainger Smith and husband Ray and Amy Denise Grainger of Tabor City; a brother, Anthony “Tony” Mills of Redding, California; four sisters, Melba Watts, Hilda Norris and Clara Mills of Tabor City, and Nancy Turner of Nichols; four grandchildren, Jonathan Willard, Cameron Ridgeway, Kara Ridgeway, Anna Smith.

     Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday Feb. 24, in Inman Ward Funeral Home, Tabor City.

     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, in New Life Baptist Church, burial following in Spivey Cemetery, Tabor City.

     In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center 206 Warrior Trail Rd Whiteville, NC 28472
