Diane Hardie McDowell: Tabor City

1934 – 2018

     Diane Hardie McDowell of Tabor City died Tuesday, Feb. 27, in Tabor Commons Assisted Living, Tabor City. She was 84.

     Born Feb. 16, 1934 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Hardie and Ethel Garrell Hardie.

     She is survived by five grandchildren, Tara Boone, T.J. McDowell, James William McDowell III, Misty McDowell, and Tim McDowell; and 12 great grandchildren.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Timothy Edward McDowell and James William McDowell, Jr.

     Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 2, in Inman Ward Funeral Home, Tabor City.

     No additional services will be held.
