James Leland Nealy: Myrtle Beach
1932 – 2018
James Leland Nealy of Myrtle Beach passed away on March 18. He was 85.
Born Oct. 18, 1932 in Loris, Mr. Nealy was the son of the late Jesse Thurman Nealy and the late Odell Odessa Caines Nealy. He was an electrician and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Nealy was predeceased by his brother, Robert Nealy and his sister, Wilda Watts.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Tyler Nealy of Myrtle Beach; sons Randall Nealy of Virginia, Mike Nealy and Mitch Nealy of Conway; his daughter, Cathy Droll of Conway; a brother, Liston Nealy of Loris; sisters Wanda Stevens of Loris and Teresa Nealy of Aynor; and four grandchildren.
Family planned to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Thursday, March 22 at Socastee Baptist Church, officiated by Dr. Micah Lane, Rev. Jimmy Floyd, and Rev. David Watts; burial following at Cane Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
