Edward “Ed” Charles Kinard, Sr.: Loris

1938 – 2018

     Ed Kinard of Loris went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 20, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. He was 80.

     Mr. Kinard was born Feb. 23, 1938 in Charleston, son of the late Charles Franklin Kinard and the late Ethel Kinard. Mr. Kinard was the owner of Ed’s Garage and a longtime member of Cherry Hill Baptist Church.

     Survivors include his wife, Wyvonia Kinard of Loris; son, Edward “Eddie” Kinard, Jr. and wife Amy of Loris; daughter Lanett Kinard-Hovde and husband Scott of Conway; two grandchildren, Edward “Charlie” Kinard, III and Jessica “Brooke” Kinard both of Loris; one great grandchild, Ronnie Charles Parenteau of Loris; sister, Martha Ann Todd of Summerville, and a special friend, Arthur Woods of Ravenel.

     Mr. Kinard was predeceased by his brother, Walter Kinard and sister, Virginia Knight.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at Cherry Hill Baptist Church with Rev Ragsdale Allsbrook and Pastor Brandon Jones officiating, committal services following at Cherry Hill Cemetery.

     Visitation was planned from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at Cherry Hill Baptist Church.
