Dail Brooks Hardie: Clarendon

1929 – 2018

     Dail Brooks Hardie of Clarendon died Tuesday, March 27, in the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCare Center, Whiteville. He was 88.

     Born Aug. 24, 1929 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Jobe Lee Hardie and Edna Ruth Ward Hardie and widower of Emma Neil Ward Hardie. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy.

     He is survived by one daughter, Vickie Hardie of Clarendon; one sister, Nancy Marlowe of Clarendon; one grandchild, Jessica Edwards of Clarendon.

     In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one daughter, Donna Hardie; and two brothers, Harry Lee Hardie and Charles Hardie.

     Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 30, in Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 31, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
