Opal Pearl Soles Suggs: Loris
1923 – 2018
Opal Pearl Soles Suggs of Loris passed away on Saturday, June 2, at the Embrace Hospice House in Myrtle Beach. She was 94.
Mrs. Suggs was born on July 1, 1923 in Tabor City, daughter of the late, John Cornelius Soles and the late, Sudie Ellen Gore Soles. Mrs. Suggs retired as a seamstress with Talon, Inc. was a longtime active member of the Loris First United Methodist Church and was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her.
Survivors include her son, Jonathan D. Suggs; her two grandchildren, Jonathan Charles Suggs and Marissa Kaylene Suggs and her sister, Wilma Suggs all of Loris.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Suggs was predeceased by her husband, Talmadge Dwight Suggs and four brothers, Thurston Soles, Thelton Soles, Elbert Soles and Clyde Soles.
Memorial services were planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, at Loris First United Methodist Church with Pastor Grady W. Corder officiating.
Visitation was planned for the hour prior to services at Loris First United Methodist Church.
