Rev. Waties Page McLeod: Loris
1936 – 2018
Rev. Waties Page McLeod of Loris passed away on Saturday, June 16, at Tidelands Waccamaw Hospital in Georgetown. He was 81.
Rev. McLeod was born on Sept. 11, 1936 in Fayetteville, son of the late Waties Page McLeod, Sr. and the late Sadie Mae Parker McLeod. Rev. McLeod served his country with courage and honor in the United States Army, was a retired Baptist minister and a member of Pleasant Meadow Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Leta Ann Kay McLeod of the home; his sons, Denny McLeod and wife, Vicki of Princess Anne, Maryland, Darryl McLeod and wife, Sonja of Surfside Beach, and Alan McLeod and wife, Barbara of Salisbury, Maryland; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Archie McLeod of Fayetteville, David McLeod of Hope Mills, and Richard McLeod of McDonna, Georgia; and four sisters, Jane McLeod Coffee of Dunn, Ruth Ellen Potter of Fayetteville, Norma McLeod of Florida and Shelia Inman of Fayetteville.
Funeral services were planned for 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, at Pleasant Meadow Baptist Church with Pastor Mark George and Dr. Doug Willett officiating, committal services with military honors following in Pleasant Meadow Cemetery.
