Franklin Delano Blanton: Loris
1942 – 2018
Franklin “Frank” Delano Blanton of Loris passed away Friday, June 22, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. He was 75.
Mr. Blanton was born on Nov. 14, 1942 in Mullins, son of the late Allard Dennis Blanton and the late Lora Edell Pridgen Blanton.
Mr. Blanton retired as a welder, was an ordained minister, a member of Mt Olive Baptist Church but most recently attended North Myrtle Beach Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Margaret B. Blanton; two daughters, Connie B. Rowell and husband, Eddie and Susan M. Wilson and husband, Greg; four step-sons, Steve Cox and wife Cathy, Robert Cox and wife, Kim, Lester Cox and Michael Cox; grandchildren, William Chad Durfee, Heather M. Durfee, Justin A. Rowell, Frankie L. Cox and wife, Katie, Matthew H. “Runt” Cox; seven additional grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren and a brother, Lester Blanton.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Blanton was predeceased by his step-son, Larry Cox; brother, Berkley Blanton; and sister, Bonnie Blanton.
Funeral services were planned for 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Rev. Nathaniel Brown and Rev. Ricky Hardee officiating. Committal services will be private.
Visitation will was planned for the hour preceding the service at Hardwick Funeral Home.
