Leatus Belle Elderdice Indrihovic: Longs
1934 – 2018
Leatus Belle Elderdice Indrihovic of Longs died Tuesday, July 17, in the McLeod Hospice House, Florence. She was 83.
A native of Columbus County, she was the widow of Robert Thomas Indrihovic, Sr. and was the daughter of Herman R. Elderdice and Ella Lee Long Elderdice, paternal granddaughter of John Albert and Priscilla Victoria (Long) Elderdice, and maternal granddaughter of James Franklin Long and Sarah “Sallie” Best Long.
Leatus graduated from Tabor City High School, attended Robeson County Memorial Hospital’s nursing program, served in the army during the Korea War, attended Miller-Motte College, Denver University, Coastal Business School in Norfolk, Virginia. After retiring, she went back to college and graduated from Horry-Georgetown Technical College in 1985. Leatus worked many years with the Government in Washington, DC and in Turkey.
She is survived by one son, Robert “Bob” Thomas Indrihovic and wife Crystal, Florence; two sisters, Mazie Lee (Elderdice) Wheeler, Tabor City, and Audrey Lynne Thompson, Tabor City; one grandson, Robert Bradham, Florence.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, James T. Elderdice and one sister, Meridain Ila Mae Elderdice.
Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 20 in Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.
Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, July 21 in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in the Henry Gore Cemetery at the intersection of 1921 Ramsey Ford Road and Big Cypress Road in Nakina.
