Elvin Dale Long: Loris
1953 – 2018
Elvin Dale Long of Loris passed away Thursday, July 19, at Embrace Hospice House in Myrtle Beach. He was 64.
Mr. Long was born Aug. 19, 1953 in Loris to the late Thurmon Boyd Long, Sr. and the late Gracie Duncan Long. He was an auto body technician and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his two sons, Tracey Anthony Long of Loris and Jody Legrand Long of Conway; daughter Jenny Martin and husband, Jeffery of Oak Ridge; grandchildren, Erika, Avery, Heath, Cade and Landon; great grandchildren, Aniyah, Brandon and Rhyan; brothers James Long and wife, Linda of Loris, Thurmon Boyd Long, Jr. and wife, Donna of Denton, Lavern Long of Myrtle Beach, Wayne Dorman of Rock Hill; sisters Marie Staton and husband, Joe of Lexington, North Carolina, Janet Blalock and husband, Randall of Myrtle Beach, Cindy Martin and husband, Jeff of Conway, Robin Foglesonger and husband, John of Conway, and Hope Long of Myrtle Beach.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Long was predeceased by his grandson, Anthony Long; and brother, Willard Long.
Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, July 22 at Grace Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Marcus Fowler, committal services following at Hardee Cemetery in Loris.
