Jeanette Edwards: Moncks Corner

1948 – 2018

     Jeanette Edwards passed away Friday, July 27, at her home in Moncks Corner. She was 70.

     Born March 14, 1948 in Loris, Mrs. Edwards was a daughter of the late George Emerson Rowell and the late, Pauline Galloway Rowell. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.

     Survivors include her son, Hubert “Pete” Monroe Collins, III of Bonneau; two daughters, Timmie Ann Fowler and husband, Terry of Bonneau and Jennifer Louise Collins of Moncks Corner; a brother, Luther D. “Shorty” Rowell of Loris; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth, Christina, Taylor, Shelby, Chris, P.J. and Cole; nine great-grandchildren; and a very special friend, who was like a daughter, Karen Hodges and her son, Josh.

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Edwards was predeceased by two husbands, Hubert “Banjo” Monroe Collins and James “Bill” Milton Cooper; and two sisters, Mary Sue Rowell and Pamela Causey.

     A graveside funeral service at Riverside Cemetery was held at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, July 29. Rev. Jimmy Floyd officiated.
