Ruby Causey Bruton: Loris

1927 – 2018

     Ruby “Rusty” Causey Brutonof Loris, age 91, passed away Monday, Aug. 13, at her home. She was 91.

     Ms. Bruton was born April 22, 1927 in Loris, daughter of the late Walter Nathan Causey and the late, Lillian Ethel Tyler Causey.

     Ms. Causey worked as a restaurant owner, a real estate agent and as a licensed minister. Ms. Bruton was a longtime faithful member of Grace Tabernacle Church.

     Survivors include her son, Robert “Bobby” Bruton, Jr. and wife, Brenda of Loris; two grandchildren, Janet Tyler and Allen Harrelson; three great grandchildren, Matthew Tyler, Helena Harrelson and Daniel Harrelson; two brothers, Paul Causey and wife, Genevieve and Donald Causey and wife, Elise all of Loris, and a sister, Jauaneice Hagadorn of Loris.

     In addition to her parents, Ms. Bruton was predeceased by five brothers, J.W. Causey, F.E. Causey, Winston Causey, Garland Causey and Roy Causey.

     Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Rev. Johnny Causey officiating. Committal services followed at Princeville Cemetery.
