Samuel B. Jordan: Conway

     Samuel B. “Sam” Jordan of Conway passed away Tuesday, Aug. 21,  at Embrace Hospice House. He was 90.

     Mr. Jordan was born in Horry County, a son of the late James Pinkney and Lettie Edge Jordan. He was a WWII and Korean War U.S. Navy Veteran and served on the USS Yellowstone during WWII and the USS Mansfield during the Korean War.  Mr. Jordan was a retired farmer.

     He was predeceased by a sister, Joann J. Shores.

     Surviving are three sisters, Barbara J. Johstono and Rebecca J. Suggs, both of Loris, and Marva Lee J. Antley of Hanahan, and several nieces and nephews.

     Family planned to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.

     Graveside services were planned for 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23 at Hillcrest Cemetery.
