Michael Kent Stephens: Houston, Texas

1943 – 2018

     Michael Kent Stephens of Houston, Texas passed away on Aug. 25 following a motorcycle accident in Colorado. He was 75.

     Born in March 1943 in Tabor City, he was the son of the late William Venoy Stephens and Reba Jernigan Stephens.

     He was preceded in death by his brother, Rex Stephens.

     Survivors include three sons, Craig and Rhett Stephens of Columbia, and Eric Stephens of Texas; three grandchildren, Carson, McKensie, and Avery Stephens; nephews Chris and Warren Stephens, an aunt, Clara Cartrette ; and an uncle, Frank Jernigan.

     A private service was held on Aug. 28 in Colorado.
