Mark Carter King: Loris

1954 – 2018

     Mark Carter King of Loris passed away at his home with his soulmate, Debbie Collins Rion, on Sept. 14. He was 63.

     Mr. King was born in Loris, a son of the late Joseph D. and Elizabeth “Betty” King. He was employed with Bell & Bell Buick GMC.

     In addition to his parents, Mr. King was predeceased by one sister, Patty King, and one brother, Mike King.

     Survivors include his children, Nichole Black and her husband, Richard of Loris, Justin King and his wife Ashley of Little River; five grandchildren, Jacob Black, Caidence Johnson, Caitie Black, Bailey Black, and Carter Black; six siblings, David King and his wife Kim of Mt. Pleasant, Joe King of Myrtle Beach, Becky Riley and her husband, Calvin of Conway, Mary Wilder and her husband, John of Pawleys Island, Judy Thrana and her husband, George of West Columbia, and Susan Horton of West Columbia.

     Visitation was planned from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, at Loris First Baptist Church with Rev. Hunter Johnson officiating, burial following in Carter Cemetery.
