Judy Laye Morton Faircloth: Longs

1948 – 2018

     Judy Laye Morton Faircloth of Longs passed away Saturday, Sept. 22 in Macon, Georgia following an illness. She was 70.

     Mrs. Faircloth was born on Jan. 4, 1948 in Pinehurst, a daughter of the late Baxter Morton and the late Ruby Jenkins Morton. Mrs. Faircloth worked as a loan officer with Stock Building Supply Company until her retirement and was a longtime member of Waccamaw Baptist Church.

     Survivors include her husband, Donald “Pad” Faircloth, Sr. of the home; son, Donald Faircloth, Jr. and wife, Connie of Longs; three granddaughters, Hailey Jones and Danielle Faircloth of Longs and Lauren Faircloth of North Myrtle Beach; and five sisters, Frankie Prince and husband, Ed of Sumter, Brenda Lewis and husband, Edmond of North Charleston, Kay Vaught and husband, Bing of Loris, Phyllis Morton of Wampee, and Penny Howell and husband, Jon of Alexandria, Indiana.

     Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26 at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mack Hutson and Rev. Danny Whitner officiating.

     Committal services were private.
