Barbara Ann Durrette Soles: Clarendon

1943 – 2018

     Barbara Ann Durrette Soles of Clarendon died Saturday, Oct. 13, in McLeod Loris hospital. She was 75.

     Born in Richmond, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Jack Durrette and Violet Cox Durette Gunter.

     She was currently a member of Lynn Hill Baptist Church, Whiteville, and Calvary Baptist Midlothian of Midlothian Virginia for most her life.

     She is survived by her husband, Carey B. Soles “Coot” of the home; two daughters, Donna Lynn Harding and husband Robert of Clarendon and Amber Marie Soles-Mosley of Tabor City; two sons, Carey Randell Soles of Richmond, Virginia and Robert Manning Soles of Chester, Virginia; four sisters, Jackie Poarch and Blanche Bland of Chesterfield, Virginia, Dolly Burnette of Palm Springs, Florida, and Diane Needham of Myrtle Beach; and eight grandchildren.

     In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Sammy Durrette.

     Visitation was planned from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, in Inman Ward Funeral Home, Tabor City.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel in Tabor City, burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City.
