Janette Stevens McCormick: Loris

1939 – 2018

     Janette Stevens McCormick of Loris passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 16, at McLeod Loris hospital following an illness. She was 78.

     Mrs. McCormick was born Dec. 30, 1939 in Loris to the late Charles Albert Stevens and the late Esta Mae Housand Stevens.

     Mrs. McCormick was a loving homemaker and a longtime member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

     Survivors include her husband, Kelly Hoyt McCormick of the home; son SMSgt Joe McCormick and wife Kathy who are stationed at Seymour-Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro; a granddaughter, Miranda Kelle McCormick; two brothers, Phil Stevens of Georgia and Joey Stevens and wife Patricia of Gray Court; and a sister, Judy Hardee and husband Harold of Loris.

     Mrs. McCormick was predeceased by one brother, Paul Stevens.

     Visitation was planned from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel.

     Funeral services were planned to follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Rodney Hord officiating.

     Committal services were to be private.
