Lily Mae Hardwick: Loris
1929 – 2018
Lily Mae Hardwick of Loris passed away Sunday, Oct. 28. She was 89.
Mrs. Hardwick was born in Brunswick County, a daughter of the late Joseph Aaron and Leoma Cook Blanton. She was a longtime member of Springfield Missionary Baptist Church where she served as secretary, choir member, and WMU member.
Mrs. Hardwick was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Bailey Hardwick; one grandson, John Michael Edwards, Jr.; one brother, L. J. Blanton; and two sisters, Eltie Harrelson and Verma Edwards.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Edwards of Conway; one son, Herman Hardwick of Loris; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren,
Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel.
Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Mack Hutson, Rev. Roger Black, and Rev. Darren Squires officiating, burial following in the Carter Cemetery.
