Shirley Mae Stevens Causey: Loris

1942 – 2019

     Shirley Mae Stevens Causey of Loris passed away on Friday, Jan. 18, at her home following an illness. She was 76.

     Mrs. Causey was born on July 7, 1942 in Loris, to the late Luther Evan Stevens and the late Sallie Edna Ward Stevens.

     Mrs. Causey retired from Horry Electric Cooperative and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church for over fifty years.

     Shirley is survived by her husband of over sixty years, D. Earl Causey of the home; her two sons, Dennis Causey and wife, Wendy Carter Causey and Kenneth Causey and wife, Krystal Ward Causey all of Loris; four grandchildren, Amber Causey Todd and husband, Marshall of Loris, and Brandon Causey of Loris, Korbin Causey and wife, Sammi Jo of Little River, and Kolin Causey of Loris; two great-grandchildren, Carter Todd of Loris, and Kate McDaniel of Little River; her brother, Mitchell Stevens and wife, Karen Todd Stevens and her sister, Phyllis A. Stevens all of Loris.

     Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Bethany Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Lewis and Rev. Mack Hutson  officiating. Committal services were to be private.
