Helen Irene Soles: Loris

1941 – 2019

     Helen Irene Soles of Loris died Saturday, Jan. 26, in her home.  She was 77.

     Born Sept. 3, 1941 in Alma, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Elzie Dillard Rigdon and Ruby Mae Lee Rigdon and the widow of Robert Boy Soles.

     She is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Spivey of Loris; two sons, Steve Lewis of Trinity,  and Greg Lewis of Orlando, Florida; five sisters, Patty Tate of Idaho, Mary Freeman of Jacksonville, Florida, Sonja Rigdon of Floral City, Florida, Phyllis Moyes of Clearwater, Florida, Ruth Muskgrove of Atlanta, Georgia; three brothers, Ray Rigdon of Cincinnati, Ohio, David Rigdon and Talmadge Rigdon, both of Jacksonville, Florida; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

     In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Mitchell Lewis and Michael Lewis.

     Visitation was planned from noon to 1:30 on Wednesday, Jan. 30, in Inman Ward Funeral Home.

     A graveside service was planned for at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
