Sharon Lee Rogers Pelt: Mount Pleasant
1946 – 2019
Sharon Lee Rogers Pelt of Mount Pleasant, wife of Julius Grey Pelt, died Monday, Feb. 4, in a Charleston hospital surrounded by her family. She was 72.
A graveside service was planned for 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens, Mt. Pleasant.
A memorial service was planned for 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, at Millbrook United Methodist Church, 1712 E. Millbrook Road, Raleigh.
Sharon was born in 1946 and grew up in Loris, daughter of the late Norman Monroe Rogers and the late Daphene Harrelson Rogers. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Coker College and a master’s degree from the University of South Carolina. She recently retired as Vice President of Career Development and the Director of Fonville Moisey Center for Real Estate Studies. Her professional affiliations include NCAR (North Carolina Association of Realtors), NAR (National Association of Realtors), and RRAR (Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors). In addition, Sharon served as a board member for the North Carolina State Capitol Foundation. Sharon was a long time member of Millbrook United Methodist Church in Raleigh.
She was a beloved wife, mother and sister and is survived by her husband of 48 years, Julius Pelt of Mt. Pleasant; daughter, Jennifer Pelt Barnhart (Michael) of Mount Pleasant; and sister, Kaye Rogers Ritchie (James B.) of Jacksonville, Florida, formerly of Charleston.
