Gerry Layne Ramsey: Chadbourn

1948 – 2019

     Gerry Layne Ramsey of Chadbourn, died Friday, Feb. 8, at his home. He was 70.

     Born Nov. 29, 1948 in Brunswick County, he was the son of the late George Thomas Ramsey and Mary Alice Benton Ramsey.

     He is survived by his wife, Valda Duncan Ramsey of the home; one daughter, Amanda Gordon of Chadbourn; one son, Bradley Ramsey of Chadbourn; two brothers, Terry Ramsey of Wallace, and Harry Benton of Delco; two sisters, May Shepard of Rocky Point, and Sandra Ramsey of Rocky Point; and two grandchildren.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerry Ramsey, David Ramsey and Larry Benton.

     No services will be held.
