Hazel “Sue” Spivey Stalvey: Tabor City

1953 – 2019

     Hazel “Sue” Spivey Stalvey of Tabor City died Wednesday, March 6,  in McLeod-Loris hospital.  She was 65.

     Born May 30, 1953 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Emory Bill and Hazel Arlene Norris Spivey and Wilson and Edna Norris.

     She is survived by her husband, Irvin Lee Stalvey of Tabor City; two daughters: Hazel Arlene Stalvey and Angel Mae Stalvey, both of Tabor City; one son, Toby Wayne Tyler of Tabor City; four brothers, Larry Norris and Jerry Norris, both of Green Sea, Chris Spivey of Tabor City,  and Steven Spivey of Maine; two sisters, Cynthia Spivey Banks of Elizabeth City, and Lisa Synder; and seven grandchildren.

     Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.

     A graveside service was planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, in Mitchell Soles Cemetery, Tabor City.
