Ribbon cutting for The Matthew 25 Center at Tabor City brought many of those involved in the effort that spanned more than a decade to the facility Saturday afternoon.

With prayers for those involved, families of incarcerated people in the region who will be served by this “home away from home,” and thanksgiving, Matthew 25 Chairman Burnett Coleman cut the ribbon.

Open house gave those attending a chance to see the facility while enjoying strawberry shortcake prepared by center volunteers.

Look for more on the ribbon cutting in the next Tabor-Loris Tribune in print and online.
