Paul Richard Zona: Green Sea

1938 – 2019

     Paul Richard Zona of Green Sea died Sunday, May 5, in the McLeod Loris hospital, Loris. He was 80.

     Born July 7, 1938 in Lansford, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Paul and Christine Kopla Zona.

     He is survived by his wife, Hilda Gail Cox Zona of the home; one son: Paul R Zona and wife Roseann of Lansford, Pennsylvania; one daughter, Sune Watts of Tabor City; one brother, John Zona of Cinnaminson, New Jersey; five sisters, Nancy Uhland and Mary Lou Dugan, both of New Bern, Susan Laubach of Westminister, Pennsylvania, Betka Hiney of New Jersey and Tina of California; four Grandchildren, CC Creech, Brooke Fritze, Cade Watts, Jenny Rebecka Ault and two great grandchildren.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister and one infant brother.

     Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, in Inman Ward Funeral Home.

     A graveside service was planned for 11 a.m. Thursday, May 9, in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City.
