Teru Anazawa Simmons: Chadbourn

1930 – 2019

     Teru Anazawa Simmons of Chadbourn died in her home in the Beaverdam Community on Monday, Oct. 14. She was 89.

     Born in Iwate-Ken, Japan, she was the daughter of the late Ikechi and Tomie Asakura Anazawa. She was the widow of Howard Paul Simmons.

     She is survived by one daughter, Kay Beck of Chadbourn; two sons, Richard Simmons of Clarendon and Howard Simmons of Chadbourn; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

     In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers in Japan.

     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in McPherson Cemetery, Chadbourn.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding the funeral in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.
