Bernard Norris: Kernersville

1938 – 2019

     Bernard Norris died Wednesday, Nov. 27, in Kernersville. He was 81.

     Born in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Ezra (Ted) Norris and Rachel Graves Norris of Tabor City.

     He is survived by his wife Linda Norris of the home; two sons, Timmie Norris and wife Donna of Myrtle Beach, and Chris Norris of Kernersville; granddaughter, Shannon Norris Walker and husband Ronnie of Myrtle Beach; great grandchildren, Gage and Callie Walker; brothers, Bobby Norris of Chadbourn, Chester Norris of Kernersville, LaRue Norris of Whiteville, Ronnie Norris and wife Tammie of Whiteville, sisters, Nancy Day of Whiteville, Clara Pearl Hinson (Odell) of Chadbourn, Cloteal Norris (Fred) of Tempe, Arizona,  Cleo Skipper of Hallsboro, Eunice Williams (Johnny) of Tabor City,  Rachel Ann Buffkin (Ronnie) of Green Sea, Sara Benton (Mark) of Hallsboro; and several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

     A celebration of life was planned for 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Chapel in Kernersville.
