     Dominant.

That describes Green Sea Floyds varsity football squad’s second consecutive state championship game in as many years Friday night in Columbia, the Trojans giving Ridge Spring-Monetta a 48-12 drubbing at Benedict College’s Charlie W. Johnson Stadium.

It marked Head Coach Donnie Kiefer’s third season at GSF, his team crediting the quality of coaching with the turnaround of what had traditionally been a lackluster gridiron football program at Horry County’s smallest public high school.

Some team members were already looking forward to a third state championship try, the Trojans expecting to return 28 players in 2020, including junior Jaquan Dixon, who rushed for 132 yards Friday night and scored three touchdowns.
