Gus Junior Page, Jr.: Loris
1937 – 2020
Gus Junior Page, Jr. of Loris passed away on Tuesday, July 28, at his home. He was 82.
Mr. Page was born on Sept. 6, 1937 in Mullins to the late Gus Junior Page, Sr. and the late Nellie Elliott Page Smith. He served his country with honor, courage, and distinction in the United States Army.
Mr. Page worked as farmer for the majority of his life and retired as a security guard for the Academy of Technology and Academics. He was a longtime member and deacon of Lake Swamp Baptist Church and will be missed dearly. Mr. Page was very personable. He loved to talk and never met a stranger.
Survivors include his two sons, Mark Page and Clark Page and wife, Lori all of Loris; two grandchildren, Wesley Page and wife, Kala of Loris and Crystal Page Dew and husband, Sam of Nichols; and two great-grandchildren, Miley Page and Gemma Page.
Mr. Page was predeceased by his loving wife of 45 years, Ramona Carol Page; brother, Crosby Page; sister, Veata Rouse; and daughter-in-law, Teresa Page.
A graveside service was planned for 1 p.m. Friday, July 31, at Princeville Cemetery with Pastor Tommy Shelley officiating.
Family planned to receive friends during the half-hour preceding the service at the cemetery.
