Shirley Ann Gore: Nakina

1943 – 2020

     Shirley Ann Gore of Nakina died Thursday, Aug. 27. She was 76.

     Born Sept. 5, 1943 in Horry County, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Owen Gore and Maggie Piggot Gore.

     She is survived by her husband, Edward Perry of the home; 2 sons, Danny Thompson and wife Gay of the Beaverdam Community and Sammy Thompson and wife Kim of Nakina; 3 daughters, Annetta Cartrette of Loris, Sandra Nealey of Tabor City, and Sherry Creech of Whiteville; a brother, Robert Gore of Tabor City; a sister, Barbara Gore of Virginia Beach, Virginia; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard Leverne Thompson; and a daughter, Kathy Lynn Thompson.

     Visitation was planned from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, in Inman Ward Funeral Home.

     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
