Ronnie Wayne Watts: Tabor City
1950 – 2020
Ronnie Wayne Watts of Tabor City died Aug. 28 in his home. He was 70.
Born in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Allie Jimpsie Watts Jr. and Virginia Milligan Watts.
He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served during the Vietnam War. He served his community for 35 years with Tabor City Rescue where he served as chief for many of those years. He attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Loris.
He is survived by his wife, Sondra G. Watts of Tabor City; one son, Eric L. Watts and wife Tabitha; a daughter, Rhonda Watts Jenrette of Tabor City; a brother, Gary Watts and wife Sobra of Tabor City; six grandchildren, Megan and husband Cameron, Chase and wife Averie, Calep, Cameron, Randy and Layla; and one great grandchild, Owen Sims.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Jean Watts Buffkin; and a brother, Jerry Watts.
Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, in Inman Ward Funeral Home.
Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in Myrtle Green Cemetery, Tabor City.
