George Franklin Inman: Ash

1936 – 2020

     George Franklin Inman of Ash passed away Sunday, Nov. 15, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence. He was 84.

     Mr. Inman was born on Oct. 31, 1936 in Ash to the late Frank Devon Inman and the late Madgie Grant Inman.

     He served his country with courage and honor in the United States Army.

     Throughout Mr. Inman’s life he owned and operated a farm, a grocery store, Inman’s Construction Company, Inman Metal Roofing, Dozier Plantation House B&B, and founder of The Walton Creek Development.  He was longtime active member of New Britton Baptist Church in Ash.

    Survivors include his wife, Ola Ward Inman of Ash; son Mark Inman and wife, Rhonda of Ash; and three grandchildren, Bryan Inman, Alicia Inman, and Cory Inman.

     Mr. Inman was predeceased by his son, Franklin Inman; six brothers, Silas Inman, Samuel Inman, Boyd Inman, Homer Inman, Howard Inman, Aaron Inman, and Lloyd Inman; and a sister, Annie Vance.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at New Britton Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Nobles and Pastor Larry Allen officiating, committal service following at Bill Inman Cemetery.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding the service at the church.
