Justin Matthew Bailey, Sr.: Tabor City

1934 – 2020

     Justin Matthew Bailey, Sr. of Tabor City passed away on Sunday, Nov. 22. He was 86.

     Mr. Bailey was born Aug. 2, 1934 in Dillon to the late Justin Bailey and the late Pearlie Mae Ivey Bailey.

     Survivors include his two sons, Justin Matthew Bailey, Jr. and Tony Bailey; two daughters, Sharon Ann Baker and Terri Bailey; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bryan Bailey and Carrol Burgoins; and two sisters, Marilyn Bailey and Maxine Bryant.

     Mr. Bailey was predeceased by his son, Larry Bailey; daughter, Tess Troust; brother, Jack Bailey; and two sisters, Carolyn Turner and Mildred Barnes, and grandchild Hunter Bailey.

     A memorial service was planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, in the Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Steven Jacobs officiating. Visitation was planned for the hour preceding the service in the funeral home.
