Johnny Enson Todd: Whiteville
1939 – 2020
Johnny Enson Todd of Whiteville died Sunday, Nov. 29, in his home. He was 81.
Born Nov. 2, 1939 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Yancey Todd and Roseda Fowler Todd.
He is survived by his wife, Alene Soles Todd of the home; four daughters, Jenny Williams (JR), Martha Simmons, and Lena Cartrette (Joe), all of Whiteville and Sherry Nealey of Tabor City; a brother, James Dayton Todd of High Point; three step children, Martha Faye Tatum and Julius Hayes of Whiteville, and Franklin Hayes of Evergreen; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jessie Betty Todd; a son, Johnny Jay Todd; a grandson, Coy Gore; two brothers, Tommy Todd and Clayton Todd; and three sisters, Alene Cribb, Mary Freeman and Eulee Todd.
Visitation was planned from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, in Inman Ward Funeral Home.
Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
