Rev. Colter Lee Fox: Loris
1938 – 2020
Rev. Colter Lee Fox of Loris passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 8. He was 82.
Rev. Fox was born on May 26, 1938 in Evans, West Virginia, to the late Charles Everette Fox and the late Mary Roseberry Fox. He served his country with honor and dignity in the United States Army Reserves.
Rev. Fox was the Pastor of New Life Community Baptist Chapel.
Survivors include his two daughters, Leshell Hartney and husband, Richard Hartney, Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida and Katherine “Kim” Johnson of St. Albans, West Virginia; four grandchildren, Nakia Lemon and husband, Charles, Shawn Tucker, Donnie Johnson, and Colter Johnson; two great-grandchildren, Michael Spivey and Aubrie Johnson; step-son William Bonome; nephew, Jimmy Fox; and two nieces, Diana Carter and Evelyn Allen.
Rev. Fox was predeceased by his wife, Phyllis Ann King Fox; and three brothers, Freeland Lyle Fox, Dana Clark Fox, and Charles E. Fox, Jr.
Graveside services were planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at Cane Branch Cemetery with Pastor Jon Johnson and Rev. Alvin Jackson officiating.
Visitation was planned for the hour preceding the service at the cemetery.
Family requests that everyone wear a mask and observe social distancing guidelines.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to New Life Community Baptist Chapel, PO Box 456, Loris, SC 29569.
