Eva Mae Lewis Long: Loris

1935 – 2020

     Eva Mae Lewis Long of Loris passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020 at McLeod Loris hospital following an illness. She was 85.

     Mrs. Long was born on Feb. 21, 1935 in Loris to the late Boyd Edward Lewis and the late Blanche Livingston Lewis.

     Mrs. Long retired as an inspector from Loris Manufacturing and she loved flowers, especially roses, and her dog “Pistol”. She was a member of Princeville Baptist Church and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.

     Survivors include her loving husband of 70 years, Charles Long of the home; two sons, Joe Long and wife Laura and Carl Long and wife Janice all of Loris; a daughter, Lisa Walker and husband Ronnie of Loris; five grandchildren, Adam Walker, Michael Walker, Jennifer Long, Elizabeth Long, and Steven Long; six loving great-grandchildren; a brother, J.D. Lewis of Loris; and a sister, Eloise Safarian of Loris.

     Mrs. Long was predeceased by her brother, Bud Edward Lewis; two sisters, Eunice Elliott and Genevieve Causey and granddaughter, Jessica Long.

     Memorial services will be private.
