Ilene Vance: Concord

1932 – 2021

     Edna Ilene Sarvis Vance of Concord passed away on Monday, Jan. 4. She was 88.

     A private memorial service was planned, with burial following in Forest Hill Memorial Park.

     Mrs. Vance was born Oct. 27, 1932 in Horry County to Robert Leon Sarvis and Lettie Fowler Sarvis. Her husband, Jack Edward Vance, Sr., and a son, Jack Edward Vance Jr., both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by brothers Hubert Sarvis, Robert (Pete) Sarvis and a sister, Iveydene Sarvis.

     She was a homemaker and a member of Stallings Baptist Church in Salisbury. She graduated from Green Sea High School and Troutman Beauty College.

     Surviving are her daughter, Pandora Crump of South Carolina; grandchildren, Nicole, Falon and Ivy; great grandchildren, Carter Steven Bopp and Avery Pandora Valentin; and her brother, Rev. Sterling Sarvis of South Carolina.

     Memorials may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
