Melva Dean Bruton: Tabor City

1944 – 2021

     Melva Dean Bruton of Tabor City died Tuesday Jan. 12, at McLeod Loris hospital, Loris. She was 76.

     Born in Conway, she was the daughter of Burbie Burbanks Wright and Lula Delilah Small Wright and the widow of Harry Floyd Bruton, Jr.

     She is survived by one son, Harry “Rico” Floyd Bruton III and wife Charlotte of North Myrtle Beach; a daughter, Medeana Jeanette Bruton of Wilmington; and two grandchildren, Harrison “Banks” Burbanks Bruton and Balon Rebecca Bruton.

     In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Jeanette Wright Blackwell.

     Graveside services were planned for 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15, in Myrtle Green Cemetery, Tabor City.
