Kathleen Fowler Suggs: Tabor City

1934 – 2021

     Kathleen Fowler Suggs of Tabor City died Thursday, Jan. 14, in the McLeod Loris hospital. She was 86.

     Born April 4, 1934 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Asbury and Quillie Fowler and the widow of Dewey Edsel “Teddy” Suggs.

     She is survived by one son, Teddy Edsel Suggs and wife Dula of Tabor City; four daughters, Teresa Horne and fiancé Sam Babbidge of Conway, Mercedes Hardee of Tabor City, Karen Bracey and husband Coy of Carvers Creek, and Devona Fowler of Loris; ten grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren.

     In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Glen Fowler and MC Fowler; and three sisters, Thelma Hardee, Alene Gerald and Beulah Cox.

     A graveside service was planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, in the Old Zion Wesleyan Church Cemetery, Tabor City.

     Family planned to receive friends following the service in the cemetery.
