Wanda Grainger Strickland: Clarendon

1950 – 2021

     Wanda Grainger Strickland of Clarendon died Wednesday, Jan. 20, in her home with her family by her side. She was 70.

     Born in Horry County she was the daughter of the late Clinton M. Grainger and Juelene Larrimore Grainger.

     She is survived by her husband, Fred Strickland, Jr. of the home; a daughter, Julie Walker and husband Reggie of Clarendon; a son, Jon Strickland and wife Kendra of Clarendon; a brother, Clinton Grainger and wife Carolyn of Whiteville; four sisters, Carolyn Fipps and husband Anthony, Saundra Hardie, Teresa Stephens, all of Whiteville, and Hilda Hardie of Lake Waccamaw; two grandchildren, Jon Cruz Strickland and Kenley Strickland.

     A memorial service will be held at a later date and announced at that time.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sweet Home Baptist Church, 3111 Walter Todd Road, Clarendon, NC 28432.
