Thomas Spivey: Whiteville

1944 – 2021

     Thomas Spivey of Whiteville died Monday, Feb. 1, in Columbus Regional Healthcare, Whiteville. He was 76.

     Born Dec. 9, 1944 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Lawrence Spivey and Allie Norris Spivey.

     He is survived by caretaker and mother of his daughter, Sarah Geneva Mincey Spivey of Loris; a daughter, Donna Kaye Spivey Lamb of Lumberton; a brother, Asure Spivey of Whiteville; two sisters, Annie Pearl Hammonds of Chadbourn and Mary Helen Walters of Bladenboro; and two grandchildren, Macelyn Lamb and Loren Lamb, both of Lumberton.

     Funeral services were planned for 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding the service in the chapel.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Nakina Rescue, 214 Ramsey Ford Road, Nakina, NC 28455.
