Nancy Lillian Angelina Martinez: Loris
1942 – 2021
Nancy Lillian Angelina Martinez of Loris, wife of Efrain “Frank” Martinez, passed away Friday, Feb. 12, at McLeod Seacoast hospital in Little River. She was 78.
Born Dec. 29, 1942 in Newark, New Jersey, Mrs. Martinez was the daughter of the late Michael Marques and the late Nancy Dolese Marques. She was a member of the Catholic Church of the Resurrection.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Geraldine Curran and her brother, Michael Marques.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Frank Martinez; daughters Nancy Martinez Barone of Loris and Lisa Martinez of Myrtle Beach; sisters Victoria Leone of Glenridge, New Jersey, Barbara Castillo of Loris, and Lorraine Soto of Newark, New Jersey; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Family planned to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel.
A Funeral Mass was planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at The Catholic Church of the Resurrection in Loris, officiated by Father Frederick LaBrecque.
In accordance with current CDC guidelines, attendance will be limited at both the visitation and Mass, face masks and social distancing will be required.
