Scott Michael Blackmon: Myrtle Beach

1975 – 2021

     Scott Michael Blackmon of Myrtle Beach died Friday, March 12, in his home. He was 45.

     Born April 24, 1975 in Portsmouth, Virginia, he was the son of Gwynn Blackmon of Jacksonville, Florida and Geraldine Pigott Stanley and step father Kenny of Tabor City.

     In addition to his parents and step-father, he is survived by a son, Everett Blackmon of Rocklin, California; a sister, Michelle Coleman and husband Bryon of Greenville, North Carolina; a step brother, Jay Stanley and wife Amy of Whiteville; grandmother Hazel Pigott of Tabor City; nieces and nephews Sidney Coleman, Fisher Coleman, Jude Stanley, Elizabeth Britt and Riley Britt.

     He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Daniel Warren Pigott.

     A graveside service was planned for 2 p.m. Monday, March 15, in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

     Visitation was planned following the service in the cemetery.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Celebrate Recovery c/o Western Prong Baptist Church, 167 Peacock Road, Whiteville, NC 28472.
