David Lavern Grainger: Clarendon
1958 – 2021
David Lavern Grainger passed away on Friday, March 26, at his home in Clarendon. He was 62.
Mr. Grainger was born on Oct. 10, 1958 in Georgetown to the late James Clayton Grainger, Sr. and the late Eva Vivian Vaught Grainger. Mr. Grainger worked in logging and as a truck driver, and was of the Freewill Baptist faith.
Survivors include his three sons, Derik Grainger and wife Hope of Nakina, Chad Grainger and wife Ashley of Mollie, and Erik Grainger of Loris; two brothers, James Clayton Grainger, Jr. and wife Teresa and Scott Grainger and wife Melodie all of Longs; sister Penny Grainger Pitsinger and husband Dennis of Little River; and eight loving grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Grainger was predeceased by a sister, Sandra G. Hilburn.
Graveside services were planned for 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, at Stanley-Fowler Cemetery in Clarendon with Rev. Dean Cartrette and Rev. Paul Lambert officiating.
Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding the service at the cemetery.
