Wendell Kenneth Rowell: Loris

1946 – 2021

     Wendell Kenneth Rowell of Loris died on April 2 in his home. He was 74.

     Born in Horry County, he was the son of the late Marion and Lucille Jordan Rowell.

     He is survived by his wife, Katie N. Rowell of the home; a son, Michael Rowell and wife Marri of Loris; two daughters, Tansy Caines and husband Rev. Jimmy Caines of Evergreen and Megan Rowell of Loris; a sister, Barbara Blanton of Loris; seven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

     In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne Rowell and Eugene Rowell; five sisters, Mildred Lee, Shirley Williamson, Edna Earl McDaniel, Mary Grace Dowling; and infant twin Brendall Rowell.

     A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, April 17, in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 2558 West Bear Grass Road, Loris, with Rev. Kaleb Gerald and Rev. Donnie Graham officiating.
