Richard Daryl Phillips: Tabor City

1968 – 2021

     Richard Daryl Phillips of Tabor City died Saturday, April 10, in McLeod Loris hospital. He was 52.

     Born Oct. 6, 1968 in Horry County, he was the son of the late William Henry Phillips and Effie Ward Phillips.

     He is survived by his wife, Mary JoAnne Phillips of Tabor City; two brothers, Marvin Dale “Tiny” Phillips and Frank McLeod “Bo” Phillips, both of Tabor City; two sisters, Willa Wannell Ward and Melba Jean Nealey, both of Tabor City.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Mitchell Phillips, Waylon Phillips, Scarlet Phillips, Alvie Phillips, Alfred Phillips and Burris Phillips; and a sister, Linda Haven Beasley.

     A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
