Johnnie Raldon Caison: Calabash

1943 – 2021

     Johnnie Raldon Caison of Calabash passed away at his home on Monday, April 26. He was 77.

     Born Nov. 9, 1943 at his Brunswick County home, he was delivered by his midwife grandmother Fannie Moore. He was the son of the late Johnnie Martin and Ettie Evelyn Caison.

     Surviving are his wife, Marsha Long Caison; daughters Amanda Long of Nakina and Gina Zehnder of Ash; son Joshua Caison of Ash; a sister, Jojuan Somersett of Ocean Isle Beach; ten grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bunny and Sam Caison; and sisters Johnnie Mae Hughes and Vivian Thomas.

     A graveside service was to be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 29, in Manley Bennett Cemetery, Calabash.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding the service at the cemetery.
